Yes, we’ve been abused
We’ve been beaten down,
Belittled and held back from owning our full capacities as girls and women
Shamed for how we were created.
Shamed for the gift of being a woman.
Kept small to keep the status quo.
Kept quiet to keep out of the divine flow
Of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and stories moving through like the breeze on a spring day.
Discouraged from connecting to Source and more importantly,
From listening to the intuition (inner guidance) that came from God source in the first place.
Distracted from keeping the promise to our soul.
Our truth has been silenced.
Our choices dismissed.
Our bodies mishandled.
Our words disregarded.
As if we didn’t really matter.
But along the way,
In times of silence,
Reflection,
Observation,
Sacred anger and rage,
Courage started to bubble up,
Fears became nothing,
Backed up by words and actions of ‘No more, enough is enough, my life matters’
Love still rose up.
Fierce.
Determined.
Done.
Compassion becomes the ground upon which forgiveness is laid bare
The feminine spirit in all, illuminating the power of love.
And honouring the standards and boundary of ‘Never again – lesson learnt, never again – not for me, not for her, not for him’.
Allowing herself to rise like a phoenix, more and more each day.
Fierce.
Determined.
Ready.
Clawing back her power, gifted to her by the Divine; a responsibility to be honoured and respected.
A promise to be kept.
Deciding that from each day forward, she matters.
Her voice matters.
Her love matters.
Her immense presence matters.
Her soul growth and becoming matters.
Her forgiveness matters and so does her trust.
Her independence matters and so does her self-sufficiency.
Not just for her, but the world around her.
And if she wants to leave the world a better place than how she found it, honouring her womanhood is the only way.
