Love comes easy because it just is natural.
But liking ourselves – that takes some work…
It takes disconnecting from what others think of you
And choosing to connect to yourself
It takes looking at your weaknesses
And not taking them personally
It takes looking at your strengths and choosing to not disempower yourself because others might not like how good you are, how excellent you are.
It takes one single thought of care, kindness, and appreciation over and over again – compounding this love for the rest of your life.
It takes looking in your own eyes and saying ‘I accept myself unconditionally’
It takes defending yourself, standing up for yourself, and trusting yourself to have your own back.
It takes making a new choice every day to be our own life coach, your own cheerleader, your own best friend, lifting your eyes to your vision.
It takes owning
your unique laughter,
your quirky personality,
your out of this world dreams and visions,
your way of blazing your own trail ( you trailblazer ),
your out of the box thinking,
Your way of challenging BS and thinking for yourself
In a world that wants you to fit into a box,
It takes celebrating the little moments of growth, the little steps of progress, and overflowing gratitude from your own heart and soul.
It takes giving yourself some space so that grace can come through when you’ve been carrying the burden of not liking yourself.
We all make mistakes, we all fail, we all have flaws, we’re all imperfect – none of these are permanent. None of them is a stain on your character. None of them can stop you from shifting your focus to self-forgiveness, to “I’m sorry, please forgive me, I love you, thank you’ (Ho op Pono Pono prayer)
Like yourself because you are good enough.
Like yourself because you care.
Like yourself as naturally as you unconditionally love yourself.
And, like yourself enough to make the most of each and every single moment before the light goes out.
Remember, life is today so follow your heart. It knows the way. Leila x
